3. Click on the application.
4. Complete all pages that have the header: ALL STUDENTS SHOULD COMPLETE THIS PAGE. Remember to fill out all fields with a red *. These are required and your application will not be accepted if any are left blank.
5. If you wish to apply for statewide scholarships please fill out that section.
6. Select all campuses that you might attend.
7. Fill out the campus-specific questions, write essays, and request letters of recommendation for those scholarships you want to be considered for. Please be considerate when requesting letters by allowing at least one week turnaround time.
8. Submit the application when all fields are completed.

Check your Ivy Tech email to be sure you receive a confirmation of your application. If you don’t receive one, go back to your application and make sure you completed all fields. The college uses only your Ivy Tech email account to send scholarship updates so be sure to check it frequently.
Awarded in the fall and spring terms. Students may receive the award both terms, but must remain in good academic standing and must reapply for the spring term and submit a revised essay.
ESSAY REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by I. B. E. W. union workers in honor of Norm Anderson to help Ivy Tech Bloomington students gain the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.0.
Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
The student must write a one-and-a-half page essay on "How Organized Labor has Affected Society in the Last 100 Years".
Applicant must be a member or immediate family member of the I. B. E. W. or a member of the local community.
Awarded in spring, summer and fall terms.
The scholarship was established to help Academic Skills Advancement Students with financial need to purchase books.
Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Recipients(s) must be enrolled in at least one Academic Skills Advancement course.
Emergency funds can be made available.
Awarded in spring, summer and fall terms.
The scholarship was established by a Bloomington Friend of Ivy Tech to fund a full scholarship to a student seeking an Associate of Science in Nursing degree. Partial scholarships may be available.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be enrolled in ASN program.
Student must be a United States citizen.
Preference in selection will be given to applicants who have demonstrated a dedication to community service during secondary school and previous college experience.
Preference will be given to non-traditional students.
Preference will be given to residents of Monroe, Owen, Greene, Brown and Lawrence counties.
The Lila M. Argue P.E.O Scholarship was established by the Bloomington PEO Reciprocity Group. This scholarship is awarded as funds are available.
To be eligible for this award, students must meet the following criteria:
The Amalie Ford Barger and Hubert S. Barger Endowed Scholarship in Engineering Technologies is intended to encourage students of promise and need at Ivy Tech's Bloomington campus who desire to pursue careers in the fields of engineering technologies. This endowment was established by Joyce Barger Poling as a tribute to her parents and to acknowledge the contributions made by her father to his profession as an engineer.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5;
Must have completed 24 credit hours in an Engineering Technology program;
Must have a FAFSA on file with the Ivy Tech Office of Financial Aid.
The scholarship is awarded in the fall and spring terms as funds are available and may be renewable if the recipient remains in good academic standing for the duration of the scholarship.
Awarded to one student for the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by the Bloomfield State Bank to assist a Greene county resident who is pursuing a degree at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
Student must have completed six (6) credit hours.
Student must be pursuing an AS or AAS degree at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus.
Student must be a resident of Greene County.

The scholarship was created by generous and continual donations by the faculty and staff of the Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington campus to assist students who have demonstrated financial need to continue their education.

The scholarship was established by the Bloomington Board of Realtors® to assist students pursuing an AS or AAS at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus.
Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
Student must be pursuing an AS or AAS degree at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus.
This scholarship fund was created in memory of Gene Placek and Nancy Jeffries by their eldest daughter to ease the financial burden for Ivy Tech Community College students obtaining an education who face adversity resulting from the loss of one or both parents or legal guardians.
ESSAY REQUIRE
Eligibility criteria:
Students must have one or both parents or legal guardians who are deceased;
Students must be enrolled in a degree program and intend to transfer to a four-year Indiana institution;
Students must demonstrate acceptable academic progress at Ivy Tech or their high school, whichever is most recent;
Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0; and,
Students must complete Lighthouse Essay question explaining how the loss of one or both parents or legal guardians impacted their educational goals.
Students receiving Pell Awards that compromise 100% of their tuition or whose employers or other agencies pay full tuition are not eligible. Scholarships may be used for tuition and fees only.

If awarded this scholarship the student agrees to:
Complete their course work for the entire semester, or be responsible for repayment of the scholarship; and
Give the Bloomington Rotary Club and Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington permission to use their essay and / or letter of recommendation in promotional material and understand that those items submitted become property of the Bloomington Rotary Club and / or Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington.
Eligibility criteria:
Student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0;
Student must be enrolled as a full-time student at Ivy Tech Bloomington;
Student must have a current FAFSA on file with the Office of Financial Aid;
Student must have completed at least 12 credit hours in their chosen academic program;
Student must complete a 750 word essay addressing career aspirations, graduation plans and personal involvement in civic engagement activities;
Student must obtain a letter of recommendation from a faculty member in their chosen academic program; and
Student must attend a designated Bloomington Rotary Club luncheon if awarded this scholarship (the club meets each Tuesday at noon at the Indiana Memorial Union in Bloomington).

The Kay Brock International Student Scholarship is intended to promote global diversity at Ivy Tech Bloomington by encouraging foreign student attendance. This scholarship is intended to pay the out-of-state tuition for one (1), three (3) credit hour course.
Eligibility criteria:
Applicant must be an international student with a current student visa (F1 Status).
Applicant must have successfully completed 12 credit hours at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Preference will be given to students enrolled in a POLS course.
Awarded to one scholar in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by Bill C. Brown to assist a student committed to completing a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Eligibility criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
Applicant must be committed to completing their degree at Ivy Tech Bloomington in Early Childhood Education.
Awarded to one scholar in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by Bill C. Brown to assist a student committed to completing a degree in Elementary Education.
Eligibility criteria:

Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
Applicant must be committed to completing their degree at Ivy Tech Bloomington in Elementary Education.
The Campus Pride scholarship is available to all students of Ivy Tech Bloomington, including recipients from previous years who meet the established criteria; preference will be given to students active in the Campus Pride student organization. This scholarship is available for the spring semester.
Eligibility criteria:
Student must be a student at Ivy Tech Bloomington;
Student must have a minimum GPA of at least 2.5; may use high school GPA if applying as an incoming student;
Student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours through the Bloomington campus of Ivy Tech Community College.
Preference will be given to students active in the Campus Pride student organization.
The John and Cathleen Cameron Radiation Therapy scholarship was established by the family and friends of the late John Cameron and Cathleen Cameron to assist students who are seeking a degree in Radiation Therapy at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. This scholarship is awarded to one student in the fall and again in the spring as long as the student remains in good standing.
Eligibility Criteria:
Student must be enrolled in the Radiation Therapy Program at Ivy Tech Bloomington;
Financial need must be demonstrated;
FAFSA form should be on file;
Student must be a degree seeking student; and
Student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Selection is based on the students overall professionalism and clinical competency.
The Mae Cassady Scholarship was established by local entrepreneur, Mae Cassady to provide assistance to students attending Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington who are pursuing training in electrical principles and applications through the college's School of Technology.
An award will be made each fall and spring terms as funds are available.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours through the Bloomington campus of Ivy Tech Community College;
Must have a current FAFSA on file with the Ivy Tech Office of Financial Aid
Must submit a personal statement (approximately 150 words) about their career goals and how this scholarship may help them achieve those.
The Robbie Chapman III Fire Science Endowed Scholarship was established by Barbara and Lee Chapman to honor the legacy of their son, Robbie Chapman III, who was a student in the Fire Science program at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. This fund is intended to provide assistance to students who demonstrate financial need, an interest in pursuing fire science as a career, and a passion to be good stewards and citizens of their community.
Eligibility Criteria:
The scholarship is available to students pursuing degrees, certificates or technical certificates related to Fire Science, including Fire Prevention and Investigation, Fire Service Administration, or supporting programs in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Public Administration.
Preference will be given to applicants who are children of current or retired, local firefighters.
Eligible applicants must be in good standing and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours through the Bloomington campus of Ivy Tech Community College.
Preference will be given to students who are not Pell Grant or state funded grant eligible.
To maximize financial security for the student, the award will be made for a full academic year with funds released at the beginning of each semester and may be renewable each year, dependent upon satisfactory academic progress of the applicant and fund availability.
Awarded to one scholar for the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by Commercial Service of Bloomington, Inc. to assist a student who is pursuing an AS or AAS degree at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus that will lead to employment in the field of heating and air conditioning.
Eligibility criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by Cook Pharmica to assist students pursuing degrees in the field of Biotechnology at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated; FAFSA must be on file.
Students must be seeking a degree in Biotechnology.
Students must be enrolled in a least six (6) credit hours.
Applications for this scholarship must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from the Biotechnology Program Chair. The letter of recommendation must be requested through your scholarship application.
Recipients are expected to attend a tour of Cook Pharmica during the spring semester.
These scholarships were established by Steve and Connie Ferguson to assist students in the fields of Biotechnology, Nursing, and Radiation Therapy or are part-time students not eligible for grants.
Two awards are made in each of the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship is designated for those students who are not eligible for grants due to their part-time enrollment, financial situation, or life obligations.

Must be enrolled in 2 - 11 credit hours due to "life obligation".
Must demonstrate a desire to succeed in pursuing academic and career goals.

The scholarship was created by the First Financial Bank to make an education more affordable for a student enrolled in the Business Administration program at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
Eligibility criteria:

Applicant must be enrolled in the Business Administration program at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
Established by Ford Motor Company, this scholarship is awarded to campuses that have a Ford (or former Ford) company in the service area.
Eligibility criteria:
These scholarships may be granted to under-represented or nontraditional students.
In granting these scholarships, preference is to be given to Ford employees, their spouses, and children.
These scholarships may not be restricted to a particular discipline.
With respect to a particular student, the scholarship may be renewed once.
The scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, or equipment required for a student’s participation in a course or courses of instruction.
If an applicant for this scholarship claims a Ford connection, the applicant must provide a completed verification form from Ford.
The Futures Unlimited scholarship was established by various private and corporate donations to assist an Ivy Tech Bloomington student in gaining the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace. This scholarship is awarded in the fall, spring and summer semesters.
To be eligible for this award, students must meet the following criteria:
The German American scholarship was established by German American to assist a student seeking an AS or AAS degree from Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. This scholarship is awarded in the fall and spring semesters to the same student as long as they remain in good standing at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated;
FAFSA must be on file;
Student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0; and
Student must be enrolled in an AS or AAS program at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
The Goods, Inc. / Goods for Cooks Endowed Hospitality Scholarships are intended to encourage students of promise and need who wish to improve their personal economic circumstances and plan for their futures through the pursuit of careers in the hospitality field. Awards are made each fall and spring as funds are available.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be enrolled full-time in the Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality degree program at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington and successfully completed their first semester of the program;
Preference will be given to under-represented or nontraditional students, particularly those pursuing concentrations in culinary studies or baking and pastry;
Must be in good standing;
Must have a FAFSA on-file with the Ivy Tech Office of Financial Aid.
Awarded to one scholar in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by Greene County General Hospital to assist a student enrolled in Paramedic Science.
Eligibility criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Minimum cumulative GPA. 3.0.
Student must reside in Greene County.
Student must be enrolled in Paramedic Science, Nursing or other health occupation major at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus.
The Geoff Grodner and Lorelei Meeker Endowed Scholarships are intended to encourage students of promise and need at Ivy Tech’s Bloomington campus who desire to pursue careers in the culinary arts field.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must have successfully completed their first full year of study in the Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality Administration degree program with a concentration in Culinary Arts, and be enrolled full time in their second year of program study;
Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0;
Applicants must secure a letter of recommendation from a staff or faculty member associated with the Hospitality Administration program; and
Applicants must complete an Ivy Tech scholarship application form.
The Grodner-Meeker ASAP Endowed Scholarship at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington is intended to support and encourage students participating in the college's Associate Accelerated Program (ASAP). An award will be made each year to one or more students meeting the following criteria.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be enrolled in the ASAP program on the Bloomington campus of Ivy Tech Community College;
Must demonstrate financial need by having a FAFSA on file with the Ivy Tech Office of Financial Aid;
Must have a high school or college cumulative GPA of no lower than 3.5
Must submit a personal statement (approximately 150 words) about their career goals and how this scholarship may help them achieve those goals. Submit this statement in the Region 14: Bloomington section of the scholarship application.
The Gabe Hinds and Nikolas Kalosandros Scholarship is intended to encourage first-generation students at Ivy Tech's Bloomington campus pursuing coursework in hospitality (culinary), archeology, or information technology. This endowment was established by James Moyer as a memorial tribute to his husband Gabe, who served Ivy Tech Bloomington for nearly twenty years; and to Gabe's beloved cat Nikki.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be enrolled in coursework in any of the following program areas: Culinary Arts, Archeology, or Information Technology at Ivy Tech Bloomington;
Must be the first member of their family to enroll and pursue a degree in higher education.
The James G. Heinzen Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established to honor the life, work and legacy of Jim Heinzen. Jim was a wonderful husband and devoted father. He was equally passionate about his almost 27 years of service to Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington, where he served in many divisions, including human resources, continuing education, and, in his final years, academic affairs. As an academic dean, Jim stewarded Business, Computing and Informatics, Hospitality and Public Services programs with passion, commitment and excellence. Through this scholarship we want Jim's memory to live forever, as it will in our hearts.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0;
Must be enrolled in a Business or Hospitality degree program;
Must have completed at least 24 credit hours toward their degree;
Must have graduated or achieved equivalent credential from a high school in the Ivy Tech Bloomington service area of Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, or Owen Counties;
Must submit a personal statement (approximately 150 words) addressing the question, "Why is college important to you?"
The James G. Heinzen Scholarship for Fine and Culinary Arts at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington honors the life, work and legacy of Jim Heinzen, a loving brother and father, and an esteemed administrator, instructor and colleague who served the Bloomington campus for more than 26 years.
The scholarship is intended to support students who are passionate about pursuing a career in fine or culinary arts and to foster creativity and artistic excellence in the greater Bloomington community.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0;
Must be enrolled in a fine arts or culinary arts degree program;
Must be in their second (or equivalent) year of studies and have completed at least 24 credit hours toward their degree;
Must submit a portfolio of their work along with a one-page artistic statement to Lori Purcell in Room A102 of the Connie and Steve Ferguson Academic building.
The Jane Elizabeth Henson Endowed Scholarship at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington honors the legacy of Jane Henson, who served the Bloomington campus for over 20 years as an engaged, committed and highly regarded instructor in the School of Computing and Information Science.
The scholarship is intended to support and encourage working adults who are returning to complete their education or to upgrade professional skills and further their career advancement. An award will be made each fall term as funds are available to a student meeting the following criteria:

Must be a student in good standing and enrolled in at least 3 credit hours through the Bloomington campus of Ivy Tech Community College;
Must be a returning adult (have not been enrolled in higher education during the preceding five-year period) or non-traditional student;
Preference will be given to students who are currently enrolled in, or have successfully completed, an introductory course in personal computing;
Must have a FAFSA on-file with the Ivy Tech Office of Financial Aid.
The Liberal Arts / General Studies Completion Scholarship is intended to recognize students at Ivy Tech’s Bloomington campus who demonstrate academic excellence, persistence, the intent to continue their academic career through the pursuit of a baccalaureate degree, and a commitment to community service.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED
Eligibility criteria:
Students must have either
Completed their program of study for the Associate of Arts or Associate of Science in Liberal Arts or the Associate of General Studies degree program;
Enrolled in the final classes required to complete their program of study in the Associate of Arts or Associate of Science in Liberal Arts or the Associate of General Studies degree program;
Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale;
Students must be nominated by an Ivy Tech Liberal Arts faculty member;
Preference will be given to students who have applied for admission at a 4-year degree-granting institution with the intent of pursuing a baccalaureate degree;
Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated a commitment to civic engagement through volunteerism, community service, and / or service learning.
To be considered for this scholarship, students must fill out the scholarship application available on the IU Credit Union website. To access this application, please click on this link and follow the instructions provided. This scholarship is awarded in the fall and spring to students chosen by the IU Credit Union. Students may be the same from fall to spring semester.
The IU Health Staff Scholarships in Radiation Therapy were established by the Honorable P. A. Mack, Jr. to assist students enrolled in the Ivy Tech Bloomington Radiation Therapy Program and who wish to pursue careers in this field. This scholarship is awarded in the fall and spring semesters to the same student(s) as long as they remain in good standing at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
ESSAY REQUIRED
Eligibility criteria:
Student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and remain in good academic standing at Ivy Tech Bloomington for the duration of the scholarship; and
Student must prepare an essay describing their interest in working in the field of Radiation Therapy. The essay should reflect career aspirations, plans after graduation and the applicant’s commitment to civic engagement.
Awarded in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established by Drs. James and Carol Litten Touloukian to honor Kay Leach, School of Health Sciences Program Chair, to assist a student that has received a Practical Nursing certificate from Ivy Tech Bloomington and is pursuing an Associate of Science in nursing degree.
Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
Student must be a graduate of the Ivy Tech Bloomington Practical Nursing program.
Student must be enrolled in the Ivy Tech Bloomington Associate of Science in Nursing program.
Awarded in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established in 1998 and named for Arno Lessheim to assist students in need by encouraging continued success at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington.
Eligibility criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
Awarded to two students in the fall and spring terms and may be renewable if the student remains in good academic standing for the duration of the scholarship.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by Claire Nisonger to encourage students of promise and need, who come from backgrounds that might not include aspirations to gain higher education, the opportunity to pursue careers in the Life Sciences field.
The Life Science programs eligible for this award are: Biotechnology, Kinesiology, Health Care Support, Health Information Technology, Paramedic Science, Radiation Therapy, and Respiratory Care.
Eligibility criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated. FAFSA must be on file.
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
Must be currently enrolled full time in one of the eligible Life Sciences programs.
Must have successfully completed 12 credits in their chosen program.
Must secure a letter of recommendation from a faculty member associated with the Life Sciences Programs and complete an Ivy Tech online scholarship application. The letter of recommendation must be requested through your scholarship application.
Awarded in the fall and spring terms.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED
The scholarship was established by Dr. Carol Litten Touloukian in honor of her parents, Erle and Eleanor Litten, to assist a student enrolled in the nursing program.
Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated.

Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
Must be enrolled full time in the nursing program.

The scholarship was established by the friends, family and Ivy Tech Bloomington staff to pay tribute to former student Kenneth Long.

The Annie and Lee Marchant-Kay Leach Endowed Scholarship was established by Annie and Lee Marchant in honor of Kay Leach to provide assistance to students enrolled in the Lee J. Marchant School of Nursing at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. This scholarship is awarded in the fall and spring and summer semesters.
Eligibility criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated;

Student must be enrolled in the Lee J. Marchant School of Nursing at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington;
Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.

This scholarship was established by OneAmerica Financial Partners, Inc. in honor of Bloomington businessman Bill C. Brown. The scholarship is designated for Ivy Tech Bloomington students pursuing an education through the School of Business or the Gayle & Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship. Awarded in the fall and spring semesters.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant must be pursuing one of the following programs on the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus:
Career Development Certificate in entrepreneurship (15 credit hours);
Technical Certificate in Business Administration with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship (31 credit hours);
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on entrepreneurship (61 credit hours).
Student must be enrolled in at least 3 and no more than 6 credit hours in the above mentioned programs, must have at least a 2.5 GPA in these courses upon their completion.

The Margaret Sica Ryan Endowed Scholarship was established by John Ryan in memory of his wife Margaret to create a lasting legacy in support of students studying business and / or finance at the Bloomington campus of Ivy Tech. Funds for the scholarship will be awarded annually to three students in the fall term.
Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated by having a FAFSA on file;
Must have successfully completed 12 hours of college credit;
Must provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member attesting to the student's personal drive and commitment to completing their education;

The Ivy Tech Bloomington SGA Denise Caraway Memorial Scholarship is designed to financially assist non-traditional students in their return to higher education late in adulthood.
Denise Caraway attended Ivy Tech Bloomington from January 2000 to May 2003, graduating with honors in the first Ivy Tech Bloomington graduating class in Early Childhood Education. She worked at Head Start for 16 years, quickly advancing in rank. She touched the lives of many children and adults in her work at Head Start and as a student at Ivy Tech Bloomington.

The Ivy Tech Bloomington SGA Single Parent Scholarship is designed to provide single parents on the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus opportunities they otherwise might not have by providing the financial means for them to open themselves to greater possibilities. This is so that they have a chance to improve their own lives as well as their families'.

Must be Single, Divorced, Widowed or Separated as according to the guidelines set in the FAFSA.
Must have children receiving more than half of their support from the student as according the guidelines set in the FAFSA.

The Ivy Tech Bloomington SGA Veterans Scholarship is designed to give the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, National Guard, and Selective Reserve as well as their dependents more opportunities to succeed in the world of higher education.
Priority shall be given to the leadership of the Student Veterans Organization on the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus in order to promote a sustainable forum for service member interaction and advocacy.
Priority shall also be given to those who are not eligible to receive tuition assistance through the GI Bill or other fee remission programs.
Students receiving tuition assistance through the GI Bill or other fee remission programs (i.e. Child of Disabled Veterans, Federal Tuition Assistance or National Guard Supplemental Grant) are not eligible.

Priority shall be given to members of the Student Veteran Organization at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington.
Eligibility criteria:
Must be a military member or veteran (discharge status must be something other than dishonorable). Therefore, must present copy of the DD Form 214.
Must be a degree seeking student who has completed at least six credit hours at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington.
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Must compose a 250 word essay answering the question: “How does your previous military service influence your academic goals here at Ivy Tech Bloomington?
Awarded to one scholar in the fall and spring terms.
The scholarship was established in 2006 by Ray and Marcie Tichenor to assist those students who have completed their first year of program study.
Eligibility criteria:

Student must remain in good standing at the Ivy Tech Bloomington campus for the duration of the scholarship.
Applicant must have completed at least two terms at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington.
Applicant must demonstrate a desire to succeed in pursuing academic and career goals.
Awarded in the fall and spring terms. Awards are renewable if student stays in good academic standing.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUIRED
The Randy and Kathy Vernon Endowed scholarships are intended to encourage students of promise and need at Ivy Tech’s Bloomington campus who desire to pursue careers in the radiation therapy field.
Eligibility criteria:
Must be currently enrolled full-time in the Radiation Therapy Program at Ivy Tech Bloomington.
Must have a GPA of 2.5 or better.
Must secure a letter of recommendation from a staff or faculty member associated with the IU Health Proton Therapy Center and complete the Ivy Tech scholarship application form.
The Linda and John Whikehart Civic Engagement scholarship was established by Chancellor Emeritus John Whikehart and his wife Linda, to assist students demonstrating strong commitment to civic engagement. This scholarship is available in the fall and spring semesters.
Eligibility criteria:
Financial need must be demonstrated;
FAFSA must be on file;
Student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0;
Student must have completed at least six (6) credit hours; and
Student must submit a 500-700 word essay which demonstrates commitment to civic engagement (volunteering / community service) through the applicant's personal experiences with civic engagement.

The Jeffrey A. Whitfield, Sr. Memorial Scholarship is designed to support students pursuing degrees in the Hospitality Administration program at Ivy Tech Bloomington. Awards may only be granted once and are made based on funds available.
