Ivy Tech Community College has educated students in Lake, LaPorte, Porter, Pulaski, Jasper, Newton and Starke counties since 1968. It is part of the 14-region statewide Ivy Tech Community College system - the second largest and fastest growing public higher education system in Indiana. Ivy Tech Community College Northwest is the second largest college/university in northwest Indiana.

Along with the administrative personnel that manage day-to-day operations of the College, a regional board comprised of seven trustees governs Ivy Tech Northwest.

Are You Graduating Spring or Summer 2012?

If you will complete the requirements for a degree, (AA, AS, AAS), or certificate, (TC, CT) this Spring or Summer 2012 semester, you will need to complete a graduation application.  See your program advisor for the application, or apply on-line on Campus Connect.  The annual commencement ceremony will be held on May 5, 2012.  In order to participate in the ceremony, you must apply for graduation by February 15, 2012.  Information regarding the commencement ceremony will be sent to students who apply by the February 15th deadline.

Photo Two Ivy Tech Alumni Receives International Award for Animated Film

It’s been ten years since Anthony Thurman graduated from Ivy Tech Community College Northwest. But since that time, the computer information systems major has taken his love for animation and produced four short films that have won him national and international acclaim. Thurman, who is employed at Ivy Tech Northwest’s Gary campus as a part-timer in the computer lab, has been asked to participate in three film festivals in October. (read more)
