Governor addresses Ivy Tech graduates
Governor Mitch Daniels was the keynote speaker at Ivy Tech Community College-Central Indiana's May 10 commencement at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. More than 1,200 students were honored during that ceremony. More pictures of the event.
Ivy Tech part of historic trip to China
Ivy Tech Community College Northwest's executive director of Workforce and Economic development, Bill Thon, is participating in a historic event with the city of Gary by taking an exploratory trip to China from May 10 to 18. Thon and other Gary educational leaders will accompany Mayor Rudy Clay and meet with Chinese education officials to develop international programs for students and faculty. Read trip blog.
IU and Ivy Tech sign agreement will eliminate duplication
The agreement designates Ivy Tech as the primary provider of two-year associate degrees in Indiana, while IU will focus on baccalaureate and graduate education and will eliminate existing associate degree programs that overlap with Ivy Tech’s offerings.
College expands its College for Working Adults Program
Ivy Tech has expanded its College for Working Adults program, making it available at 17 campuses throughout Indiana. This unique program features a defined program plan, taught at scheduled dates and times for the duration of the program, making college a predictable part of their busy lives. Participants will complete the program and earn degrees in two years.
