Ivy Tech, Heartland Career Center and Learn More Center receive funding from Pauline Barker Education Trust
WABASH, Ind.--Ivy Tech Community College Wabash, Heartland Career Center and the Learn More Center of North Manchester have received a combined total of $55,800 from the Pauline Barker Education Trust. Ivy Tech Wabash will receive $20,000, allowing the college to provide much-needed scholarship assistance to Wabash students. The funds will be used to offset the cost of tuition, textbooks and supplies. More

Ivy Tech's Kizer co-authors scholarly article for academic journal
KOKOMO, Ind.--Ivy Tech Community College Logansport alumna Brandy Kizer's research was recently published in the 2009 issue of the "Journal of International Politics and Development" (JIPAD). The 2006 graduate and current public management master's student at IU Kokomo contributed to the article entitled, "Development Strategies in Tourism Economies: A Comparison Between Hawaii and Jamaica," as the tertiary author with Dr. Karl Besel of Indiana University Kokomo and Dr. Muthusami Kumaran of the University of Hawaii-Manoa. Nursing student named 2009 Coca-Cola Scholar National Finalist
KOKOMO, Ind.--Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo nursing student Athena Young was recently named a 2009 Coca-Cola Scholars National Finalist by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. As a finalist, Young will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the fall 2009 semester. More

Ivy Tech's Workforce and Economic Development to offer facilities operating engineer's licensing class
KOKOMO, Ind.--Ivy Tech Community College's Department of Workforce and Economic Development will be offering a five-day seminar in Logansport beginning July 13 that will prepare students for the facilities operating engineer's licensing exam. The seminar is designed to provide students with basic knowledge and skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate a facilities plant. More

Kokomo Region adds Paul Daily to head Ivy Players

KOKOMO, Ind.--Ivy Tech Community College recently announced that Paul Daily will be joining the Kokomo Region as the director of the Ivy Players, a spoken-word, readers' theater group for Ivy Tech faculty, staff, alumni and students.
