Taking Ivy Tech classes while you’re in high school is a great way to get a jumpstart on your future. Our Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment programs for high schoolers enable students to begin earning college credit while in high school.
You can earn a certificate that allows you to head straight into a high-wage, high-demand career right after graduation, or continue on to college to wrap up an associate degree or even start at a four-year college as a sophomore. Both programs can be free for high school students, depending on your goals.

How to Get Started with Dual Credit
Step-by-step guide for students and parents:
- Contact a high school counselor or Ivy Tech's College Connection Coach. An Ivy Tech College Connection Coach is an admissions representative who works with specific high schools to help students with their college-related transition, including advising and assisting with enrollment paperwork.
- Review available courses and eligibility requirements.
- Complete necessary forms and applications.
