Taking Ivy Tech classes while you’re in high school is a great way to get a jumpstart on your future. Our Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment programs for high schoolers enable students to begin earning college credit while in high school.
You can earn a certificate that allows you to head straight into a high-wage, high-demand career right after graduation, or continue on to college to wrap up an associate degree or even start at a four-year college as a sophomore. Both programs can be free for high school students, depending on your goals.

The Indiana College Core (ICC) is a 30 credit hour Technical Certificate consisting of general studies coursework. The ICC can be earned through dual credit and/or dual enrollment opportunities at your high school. Completion allows you to start as a sophomore at an Indiana public college/university.
Select private and out-of-state universities will accept transfer credit, as well. Please check with your school of choice for specific transfer information.
By completing the ICC, students and families can save $5,000+ in tuition.

Any student enrolled in a dual credit eligible class at their high school has the option to sign up for dual credit as long as they meet the pre-requisites for the course. Please ask your guidance counselor or College Connection Coach what classes are offered at your school.
No, Ivy Tech dual credit is FREE.
To create your MyIvy account, go to my.ivytech.edu/myivy and click on the blue "First Time Here" button. You will need your C# (student ID number) that you can find in your ivytech.dualenroll.com account under "Academics".

If you need help getting back into your account, please call 1-833-OITLINE for assistance with resetting your password.
Some dual credit courses require Knowledge Assessments or GPA/PSAT/SAT waivers.
If you are in a dual credit class, your school’s College Connection Coach will work with your guidance counselor to obtain your transcript. This will determine if you qualify for waivers. If a Knowledge Assessment is necessary, your coach will let you know which assessments are needed for your registered course.

If you are transferring to a different high school, it is necessary to talk to your College Connection Coach prior to exiting. Depending on your new school/schedule, you may be able to still complete your dual credit coursework. If a course is not offered at your new school, your College Connection Coach will work with you to withdraw from the course.
If you completed dual credit coursework through another university, order your official transcript through your university and send to cshanks1@ivytech.edu
If you need to send your Ivy Tech transcript to your selected college or university, order your official transcript through your MyIvy account.
To order your Official Transcript, log in to your MyIvy account and click on "Tools and Resources" in the upper left area of the page. Then select "Request Official Transcript.”
*Please make sure all final grades have been posted (via Unofficial Transcript) before sending your Official Transcript to your next institution.
Please see your College Connection Coach if you would like to register for a dual enrollment course. Dual enrollment is a course taught by Ivy Tech faculty whether online or on campus.
*While dual credit courses are free, there may be associated fees and/or tuition with a dual enrollment course.
