Get affordable childcare while you go to class! Ivy Tech Community College recently partnered with the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne to provide a new childcare option exclusively for students and employees. 

You do not have to be a YMCA member for your child to participate.

 

New Full Day Options Available

We heard the need for full day care options, so we're here to help! This fall, we'll be offering new morning, afternoon, and full day options as part of a pilot program as we transition into a childcare center. A full list of available hours can be found below. 

Summer rates will remain as we test the pilot program, but rates could change next year.

  • Eligibility

    • NEW! Children can now use services for a full 8-hour session.
    • NEW! Students and employees DO NOT need to be on campus for their children to receive care.
    • Ivy Tech's YMCA Childcare accepts children between the ages of 6 weeks to 10 years old.
    • Student parents MUST be registered and attending classes during the semester their child(ren) uses the services.

    Rules

    • Childcare is available on a first come, first serve basis.
    • Services are only available to 30 children, including four infants, at a time.
    • Priority goes to those using the services regularly. Drop ins are not guaranteed a spot. 
    • Parents must pack lunches for their children if using Full Day services.

    • For one child: $650 (FULL DAY Session throughout 16-week semester)
      • Includes $300 (per 8 weeks of care) + $50 registration fee
        • Additional siblings are $25 each

    Drop-In Pricing

    • $40 (per 8-hour session)
      • General registration is required before using drop-in services.
      • Drop-ins are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Drop-in registration does not guarantee a spot.

     

  • full day employee registration pricing

    • For one child: $3250 (FULL DAY Session throughout a 16-week semester)
      • Includes $200 a week for care + $50 registration fee
        • Additional children at $25
      • There is also an additional $200 deposit

    Drop-In Services

    • $80 per 8-hour session
      • General registration is required before using drop-in services.
      • Drop-in services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Drop-in registration does not guarantee a spot.

  • Fall Hours:

    Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Closed every other Friday)
