To apply for financial aid, submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). While students may apply for federal financial aid throughout the year, Ivy Tech has established the following financial aid processing priority dates for each enrollment period. In addition, students that have all of their financial aid requirements completed by the following bookstore priority date will have their aid available to use at the bookstore the first day it opens:
Term | Bookstore Priority Date | Priority Date |
---|---|---|
Fall (First 8 Weeks) | June 15 | July 1 |
Fall (Second 8 Weeks) | August 15 | September 1 |
Spring (First 8 Weeks) | November 15 | December 1 |
Spring (Second 8 - Weeks) | January 15 | February 1 |
Summer | April 15 | May 1 |
In order to ensure priority processing and "on-time" delivery of eligible financial aid, students must apply and return all requested forms/verification paperwork by the priority processing date. Meeting the priority date gives Ivy Tech the necessary time to award your financial aid by the start of the semester. It is recommended that you begin the financial aid application process at least 3-4 weeks before the priority processing date (for example, on or before mid-June for the following Fall semester).
If the semester priority processing date is missed, a student's application will still be accepted and processed. You can still take advantage of paying your tuition with a payment plan in order to meet the College's payment deadline for tuition and fees.
