NEXT LEVEL JOBS - Employer Training Grant

You may have heard about Next Level Jobs, Indiana's program that gives students the opportunity to earn a FREE credential from Ivy Tech, thanks to the Workforce Ready Grant, preparing them for high-demand jobs in Indiana.

But did you know that Indiana also established the Employer Training Grant as part of that program? This grant reimburses employers who train, hire, and retain new or incumbent workers to fill in-demand positions.

How The Grant Works

Employers in any high-demand business sector can be reimbursed up to $5,000 for each newly trained, current or new, full-time employee, and up to $1,000 for high school students. There is a $50,000 cap for each employer and the jobs must be middle-skill, high-demand, and high-wage.

More than 100 occupations across six high-priority sectors are eligible for Employer Training Grants (see below).

Send Employees To Ivy Tech For Skills Training

The grant covers occupational skills training and employers can work with Ivy Tech Community College to provide the training. We offer a variety of state-sponsored and other skills training classes that you can enroll your employees in, as well as custom skills training we can develop just for your company. As an approved training provider, Ivy Tech understands the requirements of the grant and will work alongside your local WorkOne and your team to develop skills classes that meet your needs exactly.
