2024 Commencement

Sunday, May 5, 2024  @ 2 p.m.
Elliott Hall of Music on Purdue University's Campus

When inquiring about commencement or graduation, it’s important to note the difference between the two terms.

  • Graduation is the completion of your degree
  • Commencement is the ceremony where you are recognized for having graduated

Congratulations, graduates!

We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments at Ivy Tech’s 2024 commencement ceremony.

What you need to do to graduate:

  • Successfully complete all of the required courses for your degree program
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Complete any other graduation requirements your program might include

Please note: the day of commencement will involve climbing stairs and walking some distance between buildings; if either of these things presents an obstacle for you please notify us so we can provide alternative arrangements designed to maximize your ability to fully and safely participate in commencement exercises. Contact the Director of Mental Health & Disability Support Services at ssmith1749@ivytech.edu if you are in need of accommodations to participate in the ceremony.

Students are required to wear a cap and gown in order to participate in the commencement ceremony.  If you require financial assistance in acquiring your cap and gown, please fill out this form (click here).
