The Justice-Involved Initiative provides participants access to high-quality education and/or training, community resources, and wrap-around services to help reduce the recidivism rate from a holistic approach. Participants will be prepared for high-wage, high-demand careers in Marion, Boone, and Hendricks counties.
This group works to understand and implement best practices surrounding employment and education engagement while becoming a leader in the field of restorative justice across the state. Additionally, it will track participation, employment, and barriers that many justice-involved students may face.
Eligible Participants
- Justice-involved youth
- Justice-involved adults
- Incarcerated individuals
- Individuals on parole/probation/community corrections
- Residents of Marion, Boone, or Hendricks counties
Services and Assistance Provided
Program participants will gain access to a holistic initiative aimed at helping justice-involved individuals with support in the following areas.
- Access to Ivy Tech associate degrees, short-term certificate programs, industry certifications & training
- Dedicated career coach
- Employability skill development
- Resume/interview preparation
- Job placement assistance
- Personal assistance services
- Access to mental health and substance abuse support
