This is a friendly reminder that parking lot #2 (across Illinois Street) is for EMPLOYEE PARKING. It is accessible from 26th Street or 27th Street.

27th Street - partial, temporary closure (May 2 - summer)

A small portion of 27th Street in front of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) will be temporarily closed due to ongoing construction. Click here for a map.

When: Beginning Friday, May 2, through the summer

Where: A small portion of 27th Street in front of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) will be temporarily closed due to ongoing construction.

  • Lot 1 will remain FULLY ACCESSIBLE from all entrances/exits (north, south, east, and west).
  • You will still have the ability to turn left out of the north entrance/exit during this period, allowing you to access Illinois Street to go north or continue on 27th Street to go south on Capitol Avenue.
  • You WILL be able to still exit the east entrance/exit onto 26th Street as it winds in front of the Glick IT building and get to the 4-way stop at 27th Street.
    • You can either go straight into the next parking lot and continue up to 28th Street or turn right to access Meridian Street.
  • Parking
    • Please note that while the upper floors of the parking garage will not be accessible, the first floor of the parking garage will be OPEN.
    • There will also be a few parking spaces at the southeast edge of the LRC that will be impacted. The area is noted on the map (link above) with small red “x’s”.
