Project Management (PMP) Certification Prep

This course provides the 35 hours of project management education required by PMI (Project Management Institute) to qualify for the PMP certification exam. Designed to align with PMI's Examination Content Outline (ECO), the curriculum covers the knowledge, skills, and competencies expected of experienced project managers working across predictive, agile, and hybrid environments.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion documenting the 35 contact hours of project management education, which can be submitted as part of the PMP exam application through PMI.

Please Note: This course fulfills the education requirement for PMP exam eligibility but does not include the PMP exam. Candidates must apply and register for the exam separately and directly through PMI at pmi.org. Eligibility requirements, including verified project management experience, must be met prior to exam registration. This course is ideal for professionals who meet or are working toward meeting PMI's experience requirements and are preparing to pursue one of the most globally recognized credentials in project management.

Project Management introduces the critical principles and processes associated with project management and the practical application of these processes. This non-credit course prepares students to sit for the PMI PMP Exam and meets the 35-hour training requirement to sit for the PMP exam. Topics covered include explaining and applying the basic terminology, tools, and techniques generally recognized as good practices by project management professionals and well as:

1 - Examining Professional Project Management

2 - Initiating a Project

3 - Planning Project Work

4 - Developing Project Schedules

5 - Developing Cost Estimates and Budgets

6 - Planning Project Quality, Staffing, and Communications

7 - Analyzing Risks and Planning Risk Responses

8 - Planning Project Procurement

Employee registration is coordinated by the Program Manager supporting your training. Depending on the course, employees may register in person, through an organization-provided roster, or via a self-registration link. Your Program Manager will guide you through the best option for your specific training.
