The week-long summer camp – offered in partnership with the Air & Space Forces Association and the National Youth Cyber Education Program – will introduce local middle schoolers to cybersecurity concepts and systems like Windows Security, Linux and Cisco, while offering interactive lessons in cybersecurity ethics, policy, monitoring, intrusion prevention and more.
“Our goal is to introduce middle schoolers to cybersecurity concepts, teamwork and hands-on problem-solving in a fun, engaging environment,” said Kris Roberts, associate professor and department chair of Ivy Tech Fort Wayne’s School of Information Technology.
On the final day of the camp, students will participate in a Cyber Defense Competition with their fellow campers to defend a computer system from a cyber attack.
The camp is being offered at no cost to attendees; however, re-registration is encouraged. Families can learn more and sign up at: https://link.ivytech.edu/cybercamp2026.
