The Tell City Career & Technology Center site of Ivy Tech Community College will begin offering the Advanced Automation & Robotics Program this fall. Classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from noon-9:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Potential full-ride funding exists through Indiana’s Next Level Jobs for qualifying individuals.
The Automation & Robotics Technology Technical Certificate will be a fast-tracked program, where a full-time student can graduate in just slightly over one year. The program provides students with the skills and knowledge to make an impact in the world of manufacturing and robotics. Those who have an interest in working in manufacturing, working with machinery and have an interest in learning more in the field of robotics are a good fit.
The credential prepares graduates for careers in advanced manufacturing and technology. Typical careers include: Technician positions in maintenance, process, electrical, industrial field, automation, CAD, Quality, and Robotics, as well as positions such as design engineer, materials engineer, and quality auditor or engineer.
