What is included in the Ivy+ Textbook program?
The Ivy+ Textbook program covers all required textbooks and courseware. Course materials that are recommended but not required, program fees, course fees, and consumable fees (e.g. exam fees, proctoring fees, scrubs, welding rods, etc.) are not currently included in the per-credit-hour price.

Some publishers offer a low-cost or looseleaf print edition of their books that students can purchase to supplement their digital textbooks. This availability varies by publisher and can be found on a student’s dashboard. These materials are an additional cost and are not covered by the Ivy+ Textbook fee; however, students can apply financial aid to their purchase through the bookstore.
What if I need that same book for next semester?
If a student is enrolled in courses that use the same textbook/s over multiple semesters, the bookstore will automatically roll over any print rentals to cover additional terms. Physical book rentals that are not used across multiple courses/semesters will either need returned to the bookstore or students have the option to purchase out the rentals on their student dashboard.
Digital materials will be available automatically in IvyLearn 2-days before the start of term.
Which materials need to be returned to the bookstore at the end of the semester?

There, they can also print off a prepaid label or generate a QR code that can be scanned at a mailing center to make their returns.

How much does the Ivy+ Textbooks program cost?
Ivy+ Textbooks is Ivy Tech’s equitable access program where eligible* students pay a single per-credit hour fee for access to all required textbooks and materials for their courses over the 16-week semester. For the current per-credit-hour rate, visit IvyTech.edu/IvyPlus.
*Currently, dual credit and skills training students and apprenticeship courses are not eligible for inclusion in Ivy+ Textbooks. These students either have their required materials covered by their program or are responsible for sourcing and purchasing these items on their own.
How is the Ivy+ Textbook program billed?
The Ivy+ Textbook fee is assessed based on the number of credit hours a student is enrolled in over the 16-week semester. Students are not charged for individual courses, specific textbooks, or materials. The program is designed to balance the total cost of all required textbooks and courseware over the course of their academic career.
To figure out how much their textbook fee will be for the semester, students should multiply the current per-credit-hour rate by the number of credits they’re enrolled in for the semester. For the current per-credit-hour rate, visit IvyTech.edu/IvyPlus.
My class does not have any required materials. Am I still being charged for it?
The Ivy+ Textbook fee is assessed based on the number of credit hours a student is enrolled in over the 16-week semester. Students are not charged for individual courses, specific textbooks, or materials. The program is designed to balance the total cost of all required textbooks and courseware over the course of their academic career, which could mean students have some courses with multiple required textbooks and materials and others with none. Even if a student is enrolled in a course with no required materials, they will continue to see savings on the overall costs of their textbooks and courseware during their time at Ivy Tech.
Does the Ivy+ Textbooks fee affect my available financial aid?
The Ivy+ Textbook fee does not affect financial aid. Available financial aid (Pell grant, state financial aid, student loans, other grants, scholarships, etc.) will be applied to tuition costs and required fees first. The remaining balance can be used for other supplies and materials at an Ivy Tech campus store or applied to purchases on the online bookstore.
I have additional financial aid funds. Can I use them in the bookstore?
After covering required materials, students can use their remaining financial aid to purchase other needed supplies or supplemental texts and materials from an Ivy Tech campus store or from the online bookstore.
