Program Learning Outcomes

  • Develop the skills and craftsmanship needed to machine parts to industry standards of tolerance and finish using manual and computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Read and interpret standard ANSI and ISO blueprints used in the machining industry.
  • Use industry standard measuring devices and techniques to measure workpieces.
  • Collaborate effectively with others to plan, contribute to, and complete tasks as part of a technical team.
  • Identify, analyze, and apply appropriate tools and techniques to solve defined technical problems.
  • Develop and deliver clear written, oral, and graphical communications in both technical and general contexts; locate and interpret technical documents and standards.
  • Assess personal learning needs and engage in self-directed strategies to support ongoing professional growth.
