IvyCares is here to assist you with finding additional campus and community support throughout your academic journey. Sometimes called “wraparound services,” IvyCares focuses on helping students connect with resources in the following areas: emergency transportation assistance, food security, mental health resources, technology assistance, and emergency aid funding.

IvyCares offers essential support services for currently enrolled students, including access to the food pantry with a client-choice model that allows for personal selection of non-perishable, shelf-stable items.

Students experiencing unforeseen circumstances and need emergency assistance can reach out to the IvyCares team. IvyCares will assist students identifying community resources for support through the crisis. The IvyCares team can help students organize materials and complete applications for assistance.
The Ivy Tech Student Emergency Aid Fund provides limited financial assistance to Ivy Tech students facing short-term financial emergencies to help you stay in class, complete clinical requirements, and persist in your academic coursework. If you are facing financial hardship, scan the QR Code to learn more about the funding criteria and submit an application for consideration.

The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), a federally funded program that provides childcare assistance to eligible low-income families, provides assistance in the form of electronic vouchers that pay for all or some of an eligible family’s childcare expenses directly to the childcare provider.

Valparaiso Campus Transportation Resources:The V-line offers discounted rides and monthly passes for students who live in the Valparaiso area and has a bus stop at the Valparaiso Ivy Tech Campus. https://www.ci.valparaiso.in.us/490/V-LineMichigan City/La Porte Sites:Routes are offered around Michigan City, and to/from Laporte. TechnologyIvy Cares offers students short-term use of laptop computers. Loaner laptops are designated for students who do not have access to a computer or laptop. Devices may be limited and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
