Advising is available on weekdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm, either in-person, on Zoom, or over the phone. Please note that appointments open up 2-3 weeks in advance. If you cannot find an appointment, please continue to check back!
If you encounter any issues with scheduling via the link above, please feel free to give us a call at (765) 651-3100.
Please know your login information for MyIvy. And, come prepared with some thoughts on these questions!
Program: What would you like to study, and how does it fit into your academic/career goals?
Graduation timeline: How quickly would you like to complete your program?
Schedule: Will you have any other commitments on top of your courses? What would your ideal schedule look like?
Financial aid: How are you planning to pay for your classes? If you are planning to utilize financial aid? Have you submitted your 2025-26 FAFSA?https://studentaid.gov
We encourage students to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in case there are federal grants that would be available to you (https://studentaid.gov)! After making any changes to your course registration (registering for a new semester, add/dropping courses), it takes about a week for your financial aid to fully process. During this time, you may see fluctuations on your Account Balance before your financial aid has packaged (or updated).
Financial aid information is visible on MyIvy under “My Financial Aid” and “My Account Balance.” After about a week, if things in My Financial Aid do not appear as you expected them to, we would encourage you to check in with our financial aid team at (765) 651-3100 or marion-financialaid@ivytech.edu!
Account information is available on the MyIvy portal. Once you are logged in, you should see a "My Account Balance" link on the left-hand side, and you can submit payments there. Additional payment information is available here:Payment Info. We especially encourage students to read the “Fee Breakdowns” and “Payment Info” sections toward the bottom of the page. If you have further questions about payments and your account balance, your best contact will be our Business Office at marion-bursar@ivytech.edu!
To begin the process of transferring your credits into Ivy Tech, you will need to order an official, electronic copy of your transcript with transcripts@ivytech.edu as the recipient. Each school has its own process for ordering official copies, so we recommend looking at the process on their website and/or calling the campus registrar’s office.
High school transcripts can be sent to our Records Coordinator, Meg Berg, atmberg19@ivytech.edu.
Roughly 30-days before the start of term, you should expect an email to your @ivytech.edu account from eCampus, Ivy Tech’s bookseller partner, with a link to yourstudent dashboard where you can confirm your textbooks and preferred delivery method for any printed materials.
If registering for classes within 30 days of the start of term, please allow 24-48 hours for this confirmation to generate.
You will be able to access your digital materials and textbooks 2-days before the start of class. You will also be sent an email to your @ivytech.edu account from eCampus when print materials are available for pick up at an Ivy Tech campus store or designated pick-up point, or when they’re in route for delivery.
Reach out and we will look into it! Registration holds can be academic or financial. In the meantime, if you think the hold might be financial, you reach our Business Office at (765) 651-3100 ext 3315 or atmarion-bursar@ivytech.edu.
Unfortunately, we do not teach any courses for computer skills. However, there are some outstanding (free) resources available to help you boost your technological knowledge!
YouTubeis a website/app with videos on pretty much any topic you can think of, including courses on the basics of computer use and technology. Here is the link to a helpful video, and you can search for many more just like it!https://youtu.be/y2kg3MOk1sY?si=FRd_FMxSYmiIrDdv. We recommend searching for videos on the specific skills you want to learn.
Additionally, our staff upstairs in the library are available to help students navigate their computer and their coursework. They would be happy to help with any questions you have!

Dropping a course is when a course is removed from a student’s record so that no record of the dropped course remains on the transcript.
Once the add/drop period has ended, you are expected to stay in the courses for which you have enrolled for the entire semester; however, students who wish to no longer attend or participate in a course maywithdraw from that course. Unlike in the case of add/drop, a course you have withdrawn from remains listed on your transcript, but with the grade/notation "W" denoting the withdrawal. It does not contribute to your GPA, nor does it contribute credit toward graduation.
To drop an Ivy Tech course online, you can follow these steps:
Withdrawing from classes may also influence your financial aid eligibility. You may consider contacting marion-financialaid@ivytech.edu to see how withdrawing would impact your aid.
If you decide to withdraw from your classes, you can follow these steps:
Choose the semester you need, then click on “Current Schedule” in the green bar up at the top.
Click on the green “Edit or Drop Classes” button and click on the drop-down menu next to the course.
Change the drop-down to “Web Drop” or “Withdraw” and save changes. The course should no longer appear on your schedule.
To help protect everyone from fraudulent applications, students may be asked to verify their identity during the enrollment and financial aid process. During this process, students will be asked to provide a valid government photo identification, as well as a selfie to validate your identity. You will receive (or have already received) an email requesting verification; from there, you can upload your documentation using the link in your email, which has been specifically configured for your Ivy Tech record.
You have a total of 7 days of receiving the notice (or within 48 hours for the last week before classes start) to complete this process.
You will be removed from your classes and you will not receive financial aid until Ivy Tech is able to verify your identity. Additionally, you won't be able to register for classes until this process is complete. At that point, you will need to complete it on-campus with someone on our financial aid team.
You can also complete ID verification on-campus simply by choice, if that is easier or preferable for you! Our office is located at: 261 S Commerce Dr Marion, IN 46953
Next Level Jobs is an initiative run by the state of Indiana to help fund the education of students pursuing a career in a high-need field. As long as students meet the eligibility requirements, and they are pursuing an eligiblecertificate or technical certificateas their primary program, the funds will automatically apply—no application needed. 😊
Medical Imaging is aselective admissions program, meaning you must submit a separate application to officially be a Medical Imaging student. Only Medical Imaging students can take RADT courses (ex: RADT 218), and these courses are taken on a specific, pre-determined track. Students admitted to the program join a “cohort”—a group who all start their course track at the same time. Each cohort begins in the Fall semester, with applications available from March 15 – May 15 leading up to that Fall.
The following courses must be completed or in-progress when applying for Medical Imaging (only grades of a C or higher will be scored):
APHY 101 (Anatomy & Physiology I)
MATH 136 (College Algebra)
HLHS 101 (Medical Terminology)
ENGL 111 (English Composition)
Applications are evaluated based on those grades, and on yourTEAS test score, which must be submitted approximately one month in advance of the application deadline. There is a small bonus awarded to students who already have a healthcare license—if you have one, or are interested in completing one this year, let me know and I will send you the list of accepted licenses. If you would like more info on scheduling the TEAS, please reach out to Steve McLaughlin (smclaugh@ivytech.edu).
Information on all selective admissions applications, requirements, deadlines, and scoring rubrics can be found here:Health Apps. Here is a quick diagram of all the courses required for Medical Imaging:Medical Imaging requirements. Pre-Medical Imaging students can take anything in the blue circle.
If you are looking to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), we have that program available! If are looking to become a Registered Nurse, you would eventually want an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and/or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
We offer an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), through either the Traditional five-semester ASN track or through a “Transition to ASN” track. In the Transition to ASN track, you would complete the LPN program first, then apply for our Transition to ASN program to finish it out. Traditional ASN students would just go straight to RN licensure instead of getting the LPN first.
Nursing is a selective admissions program, meaning you must submit a separate application to officially be a Nursing student. Only Nursing students can take NRSG courses (ex: NRSG 210), and these courses are taken on a specific, pre-determined track. Students admitted to the program join a “cohort”—a group who all start their course track at the same time. Each cohort begins in the Fall semester, with applications available from March 15 – May 15 leading up to that Fall.
It is recommended (though not required) to have the following courses completed before beginning the LPN program:
APHY 101 (Anatomy & Physiology I)
APHY 102 (Anatomy & Physiology II)
PSYC 101 (Intro to Psychology)
ENGL 111 (English Composition)
If you are looking to apply for the ASN program and go straight to RN licensure, all of those courses need to be completed before you apply.
Applications are evaluated based on yourTEAS test score, which must be submitted approximately one month in advance of the application deadline. There is a small bonus awarded to students who already have their CNA, CMA, or CCMA license. If you would like more info on scheduling the TEAS, please reach out to Steve McLaughlin (smclaugh@ivytech.edu).
Students start the LPN program in the Fall and finish the following Summer (three semesters). Traditional ASN students also begin in the Fall and finish after four semesters (Fall-Spring, Fall-Spring). Applications for the Transition to ASN program open in December after that, and they would start in June (about one year after finishing the LPN program). The Transition program is likewise three semesters, finishing the following Spring. Total, from start to finish, this transitional nursing track is about 3 years.
Information on all selective admissions applications, requirements, deadlines, and scoring rubrics can be found here:Health Apps.
