What is Family Scholar House WORKS?
FSH Works, a workforce development division of Family powered through Family Scholar House, is designed to cultivate growth in the workforce by inspiring a deeper understanding of individual skills and talents and provide the support needed to thrive within their individual success.The mission of Family Scholar House is to end the cycle of poverty and transform our community by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency. Family Scholar House Works is on Madison's campus to help students overcome barriers. If you need help finding housing, childcare, navigating college, technology, food or anything else, FSH Works is here to help. All services are provided free of cost to Ivy Tech students and community members.

- 10-minute survey completed with staff to ensure student’s family is receiving all of the benefits for which they are eligible
- Information and support to apply for any needed benefits

- Help navigate solutions to problems you may face that could hinder your success
- Connect to resources such as food pantries, childcare, transportation, etc.

- Support in navigating online coursework
- Assistance to apply for Affordable Connectivity Program

- When circumstances are warranted, Family Scholar House can assist financially with basic necessities and educational and apprenticeship needs
