WHAT IS THE ASAP PROGRAM?
Ivy Tech Community College’s ASsociate Accelerated Program (ASAP for short) helps qualified high school graduates earn a two-year associate degree in just 11 months!
Eligible Majors:
Students enrolled in one of the following majors are eligible to apply for the ASAP program:
- Business Administration
- Computer Science
- Early Childhood Education
- General Studies
- Liberal Arts
- Psychology
A Full-Time Program
Classes are offered Monday through Friday.
Cohort Learning
Classes are held in small, closely-knit groups known as “cohorts.” Classmates remain with their cohort throughout the program—encouraging, assisting, and depending on each other every step of the way.
Individual Attention
A dedicated ASAP coordinator assists students in navigating and connecting to campus resources and supports. They help students identify academic goals and then map out a clear path to success. Faculty members also offer individual attention to students when they need it the most.

The ASsociate Accelerated Program (ASAP), which gives students the ability to earn an associate degree in 11 months, is offered at many Ivy Tech locations in Indiana. Each location offers a unique combination of academic programs, as shown in the tables below. If you don’t see a location or academic program listed, it is not currently offered as an accelerated associate degree at this time.

Ivy Tech currently offers accelerated associate degrees in 16 academic areas. Each degree can be completed in just 11 months or about 2 ½ semesters. Not all campuses offer each degree, so read on to find the degree that best fits your interests and is offered close to you.

The ASAP program at Ivy Tech has more specific admission criteria than Ivy Tech as a whole. Prospective ASAP students must:
- Be younger than 22 years old
- Have a high school GPA of at least 2.5
- Have a strong high school attendance record

(1) Apply to the ASAP Program First
Students interested in pursuing an associate degree with the Ivy Tech Community College’s ASsociate Accelerated Program (ASAP) program must first apply to the ASAP program.
Once your application is received, an ASAP coordinator will contact you via email and/or text. Your campus ASAP coordinator will personally help you navigate through the enrollment process.
(2) Apply to Ivy Tech
The second step is to submit the Ivy Tech general application and complete the requirements for admission to the college. Admission to the college does not ensure acceptance to an ASAP program.
(3) Upload Your High School Transcript
Your high school transcript will be evaluated to determine if you meet the requirements for admission to an ASAP program. You must have a high school GPA of at least 2.5 and a strong attendance record.

(4) Get a Nomination or Letter of Recommendation from an Adult
Have your counselor, favorite teacher, employer, or coach nominate you for the ASAP program here. Letters of recommendation can also be emailed directly to local campus ASAP staff.
(5) Interviews with ASAP Staff
Not every campus requires interviews, but the ASAP coordinator will let you know if they need to be scheduled.

ASAP applications are accepted year-round, but the priority application deadline for all locations is April 15. Students are encouraged to apply by the priority application deadline each year.

Most Ivy Tech campuses that offer the ASAP program require applicants to be nominated by an adult familiar with the student’s potential for academic success. To nominate a student for the ASAP program at Ivy Tech, complete the nomination form here.
