All participants are required to wear a black graduation cap and gown. It must fit and be zipped prior to the Commencement ceremony beginning.
No walk-ins will be permitted at Commencement. All students planning to attend Commencement must have applied to graduate and RSVP'd for the ceremony. Please see the links above on how to apply to graduate and RSVP.
THIS IS AN OUTDOOR CEREMONY. Please note that unless weather conditions are extreme (lightning, etc.), the ceremony will go on as planned. We will have rain ponchos for the graduates in case of rain, but we strongly advise that if rain seems imminent, guests should bring rain gear (poncho/raincoat/umbrella) and that graduates should avoid wearing open-toed footwear, as they will be walking on the field.
Guests will not require a ticket to attend graduation. Seating is General Admission and is first-come, first-served.
The ceremony will be livestreamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/IvyTechLakeCounty or @IvyTechLakeCounty. Please note that due to copyright issues, there will be no audio during the playing of the National Anthem but audio will resume when the anthem is finished.
