Starting college is exciting. But we know it can be scary, too, especially if you've spent the last few years in the workforce or running a busy household, or if you're fresh out of high school and not sure what to expect in college.
Classes on your schedule
No matter what time of day or what day of the week, you can sign on to your online classroom and access all of the reading, lectures, discussions and other course materials. Your professor closely oversees all coursework and offers one-on-one attention to make sure you succeed. You'll have regular assignments and exams, but because all coursework is self-paced, you can get your education in whenever it's convenient like during your lunch hour, while your daughter's on the field practicing soccer or after the kids have gone to bed.
You'll get the support you need
Professors are eager to assist and are easily accessible via private messages, email, or chat. In addition to instructors, you will also be assigned an advisor who will help you select classes, get registered, and make sure you're on the right path. Our Technical Helpdesk is available 24/7 in case you run into any technical problems and representatives are available for any other help you might need at 1-888-IVY-LINE from 7am-1am daily (Eastern).
Transfer your credits to a four-year university or college
Ivy Tech is a fully accredited community college which means you can be confident that the courses you take with us will transfer to a four-year college or university. If your dream is to go on to earn your bachelor's degree, we recommend you speak with your academic advisor early in your first semester to create an educational plan for transfer. You can contact Debbie Harding at email@example.com.
It's fast and east to order books online
All textbooks and software can be ordered through our online bookstore. All books/software are shipped directly to your home and you can pay with financial aid, credit card, check, or money order. Discounted Microsoft and Adobe software is also available.
