OSHA 30-Hour Construction

The OSHA 30-Hour Construction course delivers an in-depth exploration of construction safety requirements under OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Designed for supervisors, forepersons, safety coordinators, and experienced construction workers, this course equips participants with the knowledge needed to manage hazards, supervise crews, and maintain regulatory compliance.

This extended program covers:

  • All OSHA Focus Four Hazards in detail
  • Advanced fall protection requirements
  • Scaffold, ladder, and aerial lift safety
  • Excavation and trenching competent person concepts
  • Electrical safety and lockout/tagout basics
  • Heavy equipment operations and traffic control
  • Health hazards such as silica, asbestos, noise, and lead
  • Safety management programs and incident prevention strategies

Participants receive an OSHA 30-Hour Construction completion card upon finishing all required training hours.

Upon successful completion of the OSHA 30-Hour Construction course, participants will be able to:

  • Interpret and apply OSHA construction regulations (29 CFR 1926)
  • Evaluate jobsite hazards and implement appropriate hazard controls
  • Oversee safe work practices for crews, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Conduct or participate in safety meetings, walkthroughs, and inspections
  • Identify advanced requirements for fall protection, excavation safety, electrical safety, and scaffold use
  • Recognize and mitigate health hazards such as silica, noise, and chemical exposures
  • Support and maintain an effective site safety culture

Employee registration is coordinated by the Program Manager supporting your training. Depending on the course, employees may register in person, through an organization-provided roster, or via a self-registration link. Your Program Manager will guide you through the best option for your specific training.
