Upon successful completion of the Lead Inspector Refresher, participants will be able to:
- Describe recent updates to EPA and HUD regulations affecting lead inspections and clearance examinations.
- Reinforce foundational knowledge from the initial Lead Inspector training, including hazard identification and sampling principles.
- Apply current best practices for XRF testing, paint chip sampling, dust sampling, and visual assessments.
- Interpret laboratory results and updated analytical protocols in accordance with federal standards.
- Prepare compliant inspection documentation, including updated reporting elements and recordkeeping requirements.
- Recognize common inspection challenges and apply appropriate troubleshooting strategies.
- Maintain certification eligibility by completing refresher training and passing the required course exam.
