Employee registration is coordinated by the Program Manager supporting your training. Depending on the course, employees may register in person, through an organization-provided roster, or via a self-registration link. Your Program Manager will guide you through the best option for your specific training.
The Entry Level Technology Essentials course is hands-on skills training designed to equip participants with the foundational knowledge and practical abilities needed to effectively operate a computer and smartphone in both personal and professional settings. As mobile technology continues to be an essential tool across nearly all industries, this course supports workforce readiness by building digital communication skills that are critical for entry-level employment, customer service roles, and workplace connectivity. Participants will develop essential competencies, including making and receiving calls, sending and managing text messages, organizing contacts, accessing internet-based information, and utilizing basic mobile applications. Instruction also includes guidance on adjusting device settings, maintaining battery life, and safely navigating digital environments, with an emphasis on recognizing and avoiding ordinary phone and text-based scams. This course promotes equitable access to digital skills training by supporting learners of all backgrounds, particularly those with limited prior technology experience. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, participants will build confidence and independence in using their devices. Upon completion, participants will demonstrate proficiency through instructor-led skill-validation exercises and will receive a Certificate of Completion in Entry-Level Technology Essentials, recognizing their ability to perform core technology tasks. These foundational digital skills support continued learning pathways and can serve as a stepping stone toward more advanced digital literacy, workplace technology training, or customer service-related skill development programs.
