Use a daily, weekly, and monthly scheduler to help keep you on track.
List when assignments are due and plan backwards from their due dates.
Create a space that is set aside for your college work.
Have the tools you need on hand to study such as highlighters, computer, paper, calculator, correct lighting, etc.
Study in short time blocks, no more than an hour at a time. Break larger assignments into smaller pieces.
Schedule in extra time for the unexpected (the car that breaks down or the printer that jams, etc).
Take notes in class and during reading - Review them! Ask yourself questions and then answer them in your own words. Write questions you don't know the answer to in the margins and ask your instructor.
Class attendance is important! It is a time to ask questions, review information, and learn material that isn't found in your text books.
