Biography
Dr. Martin Pollio is the tenth president of Ivyt Tech Community College. Prior to Ivy Tech, Dr. Pollio served as superintendent of the Jefferson County Public School (JCPS) District in Louisville, Kentucky, since 2017. He dedicated over 26 years of his career to serving the students of JCPS as an administrator and educator, with a primary focus on improving the culture and climate across the district, increasing student achievement, and building systems that ensure all students graduate both college and career ready.
Dr. Pollio earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, his master’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University, and his doctorate from the University of Louisville.
As the College’s president, Dr. Pollio will build upon the College’s recent success in enrollment, innovative academic programs, and overall positive impact on Indiana’s workforce needs.
