EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Hoosier students and families can get free, in-person help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) during “College Goal Sunday,” this Sunday, Oct. 4, at Ivy Tech Community College Evansville.
The event begins at 2 p.m. local time at Ivy Tech’s Evansville campus, 3501 N. First Ave. Financial aid professionals will be available to help students complete the FAFSA, a key application for students seeking federal and state financial aid. Now in its 37th year, College Goal Sunday takes place at locations throughout Indiana.
“College Goal Sunday connects Hoosiers with free, knowledgeable help so they can ask questions, complete the form and take an important step toward their education goals,” said Dr. Denise Johnson-Kincaid, Ivy Tech Community College Evansville Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs. “Completing the FAFSA can feel overwhelming, but students and families don’t have to navigate it on their own.”
– Dr. Denise Johnson-Kincaid
College Goal Sunday is designed for anyone planning to attend a college or technical school, including high school seniors, current college students and adult learners. Indiana residents seeking state financial aid should submit the FAFSA by April 15, 2027, to meet the state’s priority deadline.
Students and contributors, if applicable, should bring:
- FSA ID usernames and passwords for the student and contributor. Those who need an FSA ID can create one at StudentAid.gov.
- Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers
- Alien registration number or permanent resident card, if applicable
- 2025 tax information, including W-2s and tax returns, for the 2027–28 FAFSA; or 2024 tax information for the 2026–27 FAFSA
