Our vision for the Anderson STEM Lab is to inspire & empower the next generation of innovators in Madison & Hancock Counties by providing access to high-quality STEM education experiences. Our purpose is to make hands-on, inquiry-based learning accessible to all students, regardless of their background or location. We envision a community where every student can explore & discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, & math. Our ultimate goal is to foster a lifelong passion for STEM learning & encourage students to pursue careers in these critical fields, helping to build a stronger, more prosperous future for our community & beyond.
This year has been full of exciting milestones and meaningful growth. In the summer of 2025, we had 34 students attend the first Summer STEM Camp at Ivy Tech Anderson. The fall semester was busy with lots of school visits, including the first visit to APA Elementary in September. The spring semester was equally as busy, adding in some new community events such as Literacy Night at Anderson Elementary and Trades Day at Pendleton Middle School. The school year “ended” with our second Summer STEM Camp that include a fun visit to our 53rd street campus!
