INDIANAPOLIS -- Forbes has named Ivy Tech Community College among the best employers in Indiana for the fifth year in a row. The College was included in the 2026 America’s Best In-State Employers list for its commitment to fostering a successful workplace for its 7,000 faculty and staff across Indiana.
“As Indiana’s workforce engine, Ivy Tech’s mission is to deliver high-quality learning experiences that help Hoosiers succeed in work and life, ultimately propelling Indiana’s communities to success. That work is only possible through the daily care and effort of our faculty and staff,” said Dr. Marty Pollio, president, Ivy Tech Community College. “It is a deep honor to receive this recognition, and it compels us to continue doing all we can to develop our employees and provide an environment that helps them meet their personal and career goals.”
To create the 2026 list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey employees on how likely they were to recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10. Respondents were also asked to evaluate employers they’d worked for within the past two years, and organizations they knew within their industry or through friends or family who worked there.
Responses were then tallied and incorporated into a scoring system, along with survey data from the past three years. Greater weight was given to the more recent data and to the responses from current employees within the state.
Indiana’s list includes 75 organizations and four higher education institutions, including Notre Dame University, Indiana State University, and Ball State University. Nationally, six community colleges made the list.
