The TEAS admission test is the examination utilized by both practical and registered nursing students. The TEAS test measures your ability in four categories: Reading, English, Math, and Science. The test takes approximately 3 1/2 hours to complete. An optional study guide is available in the bookstore. All candidates must attend a Nursing Information Session and have an Exam Authorization form. The cost of the TEAS test is $45 and must be paid prior to testing.

Effective Immediately: You must pay for your test BEFORE you make your appointment. You will be required to give us your Receipt #, payment date and your cashier name (all of these are on the receipt). The test is $45, and you can pay at either the Lawrence or Downtown location. You can pay by phone at 921-4800 (select 3 for the Bursar's Office, then 1 for payments, then 1 to make a payment). If you pay by phone, please ask for your receipt to be e-mailed to you. You may also make your payment by mail. Receipts are good for 45 days. TEAS Payments are non-refundable. If you cancel your appointment more than 2 days in advance (48 hours), your fee can be transferred to another testing session. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance or do not show for your appointment, you forfeit your testing fee. You will need to pay to register to take the test again. If you use a fake receipt number, you will be turned away on your testing day. If you reschedule with a voided receipt, we will cancel your appointment.
Please be sure to bring your receipt so we can match it to the number you gave us. You are also required to bring your photo ID (with your address on it) and your ATI username and password to your session. If you have not set this up, please do so at
http://www.atitesting.com. Failure to set this up and bring this information with you will result in you not being able to test.
If you are looking for study materials, you can find them in the bookstore (we currently use version 5 of the test), on the ATI web site, and the library also has a list of resources.
You must have an Ivy Tech student ID number in order to test in our lab. If you are testing for WGU or another school and you do not have an Student ID number /C#, you will need to e-mail Jennifer Hammitt at
jhammitt@ivytech.edu prior to making an appointment.
