Ivy Tech Community College Announces Dual Credit Faculty of the Year Recipient

Valparaiso, IN – Ivy Tech has announced the Valparaiso Campus recipient of the 2nd Annual President's Award for Excellence in Dual Credit Instruction.

Laci Earle of Washington Township School district has been named this year’s recipient for the award. Laci currently serves as Middle and High School Business teacher for the East Porter County school district.

Laci’s excellence shines through in her student-centered approach to teaching. Students are engaged in her business courses, which makes her classes some of the most actively sought-after dual credit courses. She’s well respected by both her students and administrators,” said Campus Chancellor, Aco Sikoski.

 

Dual Credit Program through Ivy Tech allow current high school students to enroll in Ivy Tech courses within their local high schools – free of charge. Dual credit courses fulfill high school graduation requirements and provide college credits in real time.

As recipient of the President's Award, Earle is one of the nineteen high school teachers representing Ivy Tech campuses across the state nominated for the 2023 Statewide Award for Excellence in Dual Credit Instruction.
