Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington’s Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Martin Wolfger, has been named a 2024 Distinguished College Administrator by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for his outstanding support of student success.

“I applaud Dr. Wolfger for taking an active and direct interest in the leadership development of Phi Theta Kappa students and for being a student success champion for all Ivy Tech Bloomington students,” Lynn Tincher-Ladner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society said. “Dr. Wolfger works to provide more opportunities and stronger pathways to completion, transfer, and employment, and students have had better college experiences because of his support.”

Wolfger’s award will be presented at Phi Theta Kappa’s Annual Convention, April 4-6, in Orlando, Fla.

“Receiving the 2024 Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished College Administrator award is an incredibly humbling honor,” Martin Wolfger, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Ivy Tech Bloomington said. “Collaborating with the Alpha Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on the Bloomington campus has been a pleasure and witnessing students transform into leaders has been among the most gratifying experiences in my professional career.”

Ivy Tech Bloomington’s Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Rho Sigma chapter currently has 59 registered members and is a five-star chapter.

Phi Theta Kappa (ptk.org/) is the premier honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges and helping them to grow as scholars and leaders. The Society is made up of more than 3.5 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 10 nations, with approximately 240,000 active members in the nation’s colleges.
