Step 2. Develop Your Career Plan and Build Professional Skills
Career Development staff can assist you in leveraging our resources to help you research fields of interest, set up informational sessions, and expand your professional and soft-skills.
Step 3. Set-Up Your HireIvy Account
Career Development staff will help guide you in networking with employers, researching and finding work-based experiences and finding full-time employment that aligns with your career plan.
HireIvy allows Ivy Tech students and alumni to post resumes and search for job and internship opportunities. HireIvy is a college-wide, online job board for local, regional, and statewide opportunities, but also allows students and alumni access to national and international job opportunities.
Indiana Career Explorer is an easy, online tool available to all Hoosiers to explore their career interests, complete career assessments based upon interests and skills, identify occupations that would be a good fit, explore salary and job projections based upon U.S. labor statistics, establish educational strategies and prepare for their job search and connect to employers.
InterviewStream is an interactive experience for individuals who want to prepare for job interviews. InterviewStream will review helpful interviewing tips, allow users to complete a web-based mock interview, go through a complete a self-evaluation of interviewing skills and email the interview to another person for feedback.
IndianaINTERN.net is a free internship-matching program linking employers, students, colleges and universities. It is a dynamic, searchable database, matching and reporting system coupled with personal assistance—including a toll-free hotline to answer questions and provide internship guidance and resource materials. The goal is to help create or expand high-quality experiential opportunities within Indiana.
