Ivy Achieves is a network of support designed to help first year, first-time college students who have historically been underrepresented in higher education to navigate college life successfully. We know that with all that Ivy Tech has to offer, it can be hard for students to know just where to start or what questions to ask to make sure they are on the right track.

The Ivy Achieves program connects eligible students with a designated Campus Lead, an Ivy Tech staff member who is focused on connecting students to evidence-based activities and guidance to navigate college successfully.

Ivy Achieves promotes a set of habits that will help students succeed in their first semester and beyond at Ivy Tech. Read on to learn more about these habits.

Registering at least 30 days before the start of term will help students get into classes they need and create a schedule that works for them.

Logging into IvyLearn at least once per week helps students stay on top of their courses.

Academic advisors help students determine the most effective path for meeting their academic goals through connecting students across their student success network.

Career coaches provide students with a personalized experience creating a plan that will assist them in achieving their professional goals.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as the FAFSA, is the gateway for students to receive financial aid. It is critical that this application is completed by April 15 each year in order to receive aid for the upcoming academic year.

Students must ensure they are paid in full, on an approved payment plan, or have an approved financial aid plan in place to remain enrolled at the start of term.

IVYT is an introductory, one-credit class that prepares students with the right skillsets to navigate college successfully.

Orientation helps students learn about everything Ivy Tech has to offer including meeting new people, learning about Ivy Tech’s stackable credentials and degrees, familiarizing themselves with campus services and organizations, and other important onboarding requirements.

Ivy Achieves is operating at 15 campuses for the 2023-2024 academic year with plans to expand to all 19 Ivy Tech campuses the following year.
