Program Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic mechanical principles and concepts that impact the HVAC Technology industry.
  • Utilize electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and communication skills to diagnose, repair, test, and return failed components to service.
  • Describe the hazards associated with mechanical equipment and apply appropriate safety methods for working around piping tools and equipment
  • Collaborate effectively with others to plan, contribute to, and complete tasks as part of a technical team.
  • Identify, analyze, and apply appropriate tools and techniques to solve defined technical problems.
  • Develop and deliver clear written, oral, and graphical communications in both technical and general contexts; locate and interpret technical documents and standards.
  • Assess personal learning needs and engage in self-directed strategies to support ongoing professional growth.
  • Demonstrate ethical judgment and professional responsibility in technical and workplace environments.
