Program Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic mechanical principles and concepts that impact the Diesel Heavy Technology industry.
- Utilize electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and communication skills to diagnose, repair, test, and return failed components to service.
- Describe the hazards associated with mechanical equipment and apply appropriate safety methods for working around heavy truck machinery
- Collaborate effectively with others to plan, contribute to, and complete tasks as part of a technical team.
- Identify, analyze, and apply appropriate tools and techniques to solve defined technical problems.
- Develop and deliver clear written, oral, and graphical communications in both technical and general contexts; locate and interpret technical documents and standards.
- Assess personal learning needs and engage in self-directed strategies to support ongoing professional growth.
