The program includes an OSHA 10-Hour TrainingAmerican Concrete Institute certification, and is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Read and interpret construction documents, drawing and specifications, and codes in order to successfully function and complete work on construction projects.
  • Estimate and plan the administration of construction projects including directing, consulting and advising the purchasers, workers and other construction professionals toward project completion.
  • Use construction trade skills and tools in the layout, installation and assembly of a wide range of construction materials, utilizing best work practices while following established safety methods and codes.
  • Collaborate effectively with others to plan, contribute to, and complete tasks as part of a technical team.
  • Identify, analyze, and apply appropriate tools and techniques to solve defined technical problems.
  • Develop and deliver clear written, oral, and graphical communications in both technical and general contexts; locate and interpret technical documents and standards.
  • Assess personal learning needs and engage in self-directed strategies to support ongoing professional growth.
  • Demonstrate ethical judgment and professional responsibility in technical and workplace environments.
