Ivy Tech has announced a new initiative designed to prepare high school students for high-wage, high-demand careers that exist in our communities; and for a head start on a four-year bachelor’s degree, saving families thousands of dollars. Pathways Plus will build on dual credit courses already offered at the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center (Ivy Tech’s are offered at no cost) and combine them with dual enrollment courses offered at Ivy Tech or online, to provide career and college pathways. The vision is that students will be able to complete a college credential such as a certificate, technical certificate, or industry certification by the time they graduate from high school.

This initiative is kicking off first at the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center in Fall 2019.

Explanation of Career Pathways and Costs:

  • Courses available as Ivy Tech Dual Credit at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center (SICTC) are delivered at NO COST to the high school student.
  • Courses needed to complete a certificate or technical certificate that are not offered at SICTC, will be taken at Ivy Tech Community College on campus, or online, in a Dual Enrollment class. Cost for these classes will include Tuition, Fees, and Textbook costs.

*Through the generosity of our community partners, private stipends may be available for students meeting certain criteria.
