ABOUT THE LEARNING COMMONS

FAQ

    • Click here to open the Learning Commons Campus Tutoring Services

    • Click Schedule an Appointment or Search for Availability to open the appointment search tool

    • Choose a subject by selecting the course you’d like tutoring for and a reason for your upcoming visit. Click search to view available appointment times, then select the session that works best

    • Select whether the appointment is in-person or virtual, and if you’d like your instructor to receive confirmation of your visit

    • Click save to confirm your appointment

    • Watch your Ivy Tech email inbox for an immediate appointment confirmation message and additional instructions for accessing your tutoring session. You will also receive a reminder email the evening before your scheduled appointment

  • Scheduling an appointment is not required for in-person appointments; you are more than welcome to stop by, and a tutor is happy to help. Virtual appointments require you to schedule an appointment. Scheduling an in-person appointment does guarantee your tutor will be available at a time that best fits your schedule, so that is highly recommended

  • Learning a brand-new citation style can seem intimidating, but luckily, there are plenty of resources at your disposal. The tutoring center has copies of both the APA and MLA handbooks, and there are some great online resources as well.
