Chancellor Stephen J. Daily Legacy Scholarship

Steve Daily began his career at Ivy Tech as the Logansport site manager in December 1995. In July 1996, he was named executive dean of what was then known as Region 5, and in 2000, he became chancellor of what now is the Kokomo Campus, which includes campuses and operational sites in Kokomo, Logansport, Peru, and Rochester. This scholarship was created by staff, faculty, friends and family of Chancellor Steve Daily.

This scholarship was created by Rita Jackson in memory of her maternal grandparents, Grace and Oliver Brunson. Oliver worked on the C&O railroad and Grace was a homemaker. Although neither attended college, they knew the importance of education and how it can bring hope. After their daughter's husband died at the age of 28, the Brunsons became caregivers for their daughter and her two children, Rita and Karen.
