This course is designed to improve professional employability skills, such as interpersonal relationships, effective communication, conflict management, critical thinking, collaboration, and professional development.

Upon successful completion of this course the student will be expected to:

Learn techniques to effectively communicate based on audience and understand barriers to communication.

Learn to effectively manage conflict, interact with & respect diverse personalities, and meet ambiguity with resilience.

Make decisions and solve problems using sound, inclusive reasoning and judgment.

Proactively anticipate needs and prioritize action steps.

Act equitably with integrity and accountability to self, others, and the organization.

Build strong, positive working relationships with supervisor and team members/coworkers

Employ personal strengths (through personal inventory assessment), knowledge, and talents to complement those of others.

August 28, 11am-1pm - Session 2: Critical Thinking and Collaborative Decision Making
• Through activity and interaction, learn to evaluate situations and generate solutions
