Hands-On Workshops for Students Ages 14–18

Ivy Tech Community College invites high school students to dive into the world of STEM through our free Green2Gold STEM Saturdays Innovation Series at its Columbus and Franklin campuses.

These hands-on workshops are designed to spark creativity, build real-world skills, and explore cutting-edge technology in a fun, supportive environment. No experience required—just curiosity and a sense of adventure!

Workshop Topics

Each session features interactive activities led by Ivy Tech faculty at its campuses in Columbus and Franklin.

Students will explore:

  • Soldering & Electronics – Learn the basics of circuitry and soldering.

  • Drones – Take flight with drone technology and explore aerial innovation.

  • CAD, 3D Printing & Virtual Reality – Design in 3D, print creations, and step into immersive digital worlds.

About Green2Gold

Green2Gold is a selective partnership between Ivy Tech Columbus and Purdue University, offering students a local, affordable pathway to a Bachelor of Science in engineering. Participants earn an associate degree at Ivy Tech, then transfer to Purdue to complete one of 15 engineering majors—with built-in cohort support and assured admissions for qualified students.
