The course provides a comprehensive review of medical surgical nursing, pharmacology, and dosage calculations. Students will review the role of the licensed practical nurse as a member of the healthcare team, as well as reexamine professionalism and care coordination in relation to the role of the licensed practical nurse in care of patients across the lifespan. Students will review, learn, and practice to progress towards contemporary nursing practice, in a self-paced online environment.

This is not an NCLEX prep course. It is 100% online, self-paced with the expectation that the learner will complete within 6 months of starting.

The course is not available for state grant funding, and participants may self-pay and/or enroll in a payment plan to complete.

Who should take this course?

Former and current LPNs who are interested in refreshing theoretical knowledge or those required to complete this course to obtain or maintain professional LPN licensing through the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
