What You’ll Learn
The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) provides foundational skills for logistics professionals who focus on material handling, from the entry-level to the front-line supervisor. Students increase their knowledge of daily work practices including safety, equipment use, quality control, communication, teamwork, good workplace conduct, and familiarity with supply chain computer systems. Successful students will also demonstrate an understanding of the various roles in the global supply chain logistics life cycle.
This course empowers students to deepen their knowledge and expertise in logistics so that they can start or advance a career in the industry. This is the first level of certification developed by industry experts in 2008.
Ivy Tech students who are pursuing one of the Supply Chain Management associate degrees or certificate programs can earn the MSSC CLA as part of their coursework by taking LOG 127. They will need to take an assessment to successfully obtain the certification.
