The goal of this Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is to equip participants with practical problem-solving skills that can be applied immediately to drive process improvements. Learners will build confidence in using Lean Six Sigma principles to identify, implement, and sustain meaningful improvements within their work environments. While this
course provides a strong foundation in theoretical knowledge, the real value comes from hands-on coaching, real-life project work, and practical application of tools. We want to empower learners to identify and implement and sustain small, incremental improvements in their daily work. We want these learners to walk away with the
confidence that they can begin continuous improvement by embracing daily practice. While the course allows for theoretical learning, the real value comes from the practical hands-on coaching through real life problems and projects.
The program is structured to meet the needs of Ivy Tech operations by blending classroom learning, hands-on project work, and structured coaching. The course includes knowledge checks and 1:1 coaching to ensure each learner remains on task. Participants will apply Lean Six Sigma techniques to real-world process challenges within Ivy Tech, driving measurable improvements while developing long-term problem-solving skills This course aligns with the ASQ Body of Knowledge for Green Belt Certification but is not affiliated with ASQ. Each learner will progress through the DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Each participant is required to bring a leadership-approved project to work on throughout the program, enabling them to apply DMAIC principles in real time and be equipped to deliver measurable improvements within their organization.
