This comprehensive online training is designed for dental professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in the safe and effective use of nitrous oxide sedation. Participants will learn the principles of nitrous oxide administration, patient monitoring, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines. The course emphasizes both theory and application to ensure confidence and compliance in clinical practice.

The Indiana State Board of Dentistry has recently (2020) passed a law allowing dental hygienists and dental assistants to complete training certification in order to administer nitrous oxide under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist.

Students must be a graduate of a Dental Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Dental Education of the American Dental Association OR One year employment as Dental Assistant

There are several flexible options available to help cover the cost of your skills training class:

  • One-time payment – Pay the full class price upfront.

  • Payment plan – Split your payments into 3-, 6-, or 9-month installments ($30 to set up, no interest).

  • Employer sponsorship – Your employer may fund your training as part of a workforce development or upskilling initiative - ask them today!

  • Workforce Ready Grant - if the class expressly states it's a Workforce Ready Grant class, you can select this to start the process for checking your eligibility.
