HeartSaver® First Aid (CPR and AED)

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

Heartsaver® CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning skills. Heartsaver® First Aid is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Students learn the duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.

Describe when and how to help a choking adult.

When you click on the  below, you will be directed to the Skills Training Self-Registration Portal. Once there, click on Start Your Registration. If you are a return skills training student and know your login information, you can also login. If that fails, click Start Your Registration (we'll be able to match your account). 

Note: You will be asked to provide your SSN; this is necessary to match or create a new account with the College. This data is encrypted and deleted from the registration platform once it has been transmitted into our closed database. Please review the College's Skills Training Terms and Conditions and the Student Financial Agreement fully before submitting your registration. If you do not wish to submit your SSN, please reach out to the contact person for the class for alternatives. 

There are several flexible options available to help cover the cost of your skills training class:

  • One-time payment – Pay the full class price upfront.

  • Payment plan – Split your payments into 3-, 6-, or 9-month installments ($30 to set up, no interest).

  • Employer sponsorship – Your employer may fund your training as part of a workforce development or upskilling initiative - ask them today!

  • Workforce Ready Grant - if the class expressly states it's a Workforce Ready Grant class, you can select this to start the process for checking your eligibility.
