With an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, Lili Islas Bañuelos graduates from Ivy Tech, marking a proud milestone in her educational journey.

Ivy Tech’s Early Childhood Education program provided Lili with the essential skills and hands-on experience to thrive in the field. With a strong focus on child development, classroom management, and inclusive education, the program prepared her to support diverse learners and step confidently into leadership roles.

Today, Lili serves as the Preschool Coordinator at La Casa de Amistad, where she leads the well-known Yo Puedo Leer (I Can Read) program. This initiative, grounded in the HighScope curriculum, helps students develop critical skills through active, hands-on learning. Focused on bilingual and bicultural children, the program gives students meaningful opportunities to grow and succeed.

Lili’s achievement is a testament to her hard work and the strong foundation provided by Ivy Tech’s Early Childhood Education program. Her journey shows how dedicated students can turn their passion for helping others into real impact — both in their communities and in their careers.
