“Being a non-traditional student can be scary, but when you surround yourself with incredible people, it yields incredible results,” Michael Chambers said in the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) episode on Amazon Prime’s “The College Tour.”

Chambers is a 2021 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College -Indianapolis. The father and military veteran earned his associate degree in psychology through Ivy Tech’s Honors College in just over a year.

Chambers transferred to UIndy in the fall of 2021, where he graduated with a B.S. in Psychology in 2023. Now, Chambers is pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology at UIndy under a fully-funded PsyD fellowship that covers his tuition costs for the entire doctoral program.

“My journey wasn’t typical, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Chambers said.
